This book includes the following three parts:

1. Introduction of acupuncture, in which origin and development of acupuncture, meridian theory, points, needles, manipulatory methods, moxibustion, cupping, and matters needing attention are explained concisely.

2. Location of points and points in common use, in which several methods for point localization, and locations, indications, formulations, and manipulations of 100 odd points in common use are recited.

3. Treatment of common diseases, in which therapeutic method, recipe, position, technique, and point selection complying with pathologic state in 50 kinds of common diseases are recommended quite specifically and precisely, so as to help the reader to practise acupuncture therapy.
